TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain how lessons and services are provided by EM:CAS, a trading name of Moorhouse & Co. Ltd.
By booking or attending lessons, classes, or events, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services
EM:CAS provides:

Vocal coaching
-
Piano lessons
-
Performance coaching
-
Music tuition
-
Masterclasses
-
Singing retreats
-
Open mic nights
-
Vocal workout sessions

Annual Showcases

Services may be in person, online, or both (as agreed in advance).
Lessons are for educational purposes only and do not replace medical or therapeutic advice.

3. Bookings
-
All services must be booked in advance.

Booking is confirmed once payment has been received (unless otherwise agreed).

EM:CAS reserves the right to refuse or discontinue lessons if behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive.

4. Payments
Prices are shown in GBP and may change with reasonable notice.
​
For 1:1 lessons:
-
After arranging your first lesson, you will be sent a Stripe payment link to both pay for your first session and to save your card details for future lesson payments. Your saved card will then be charged automatically within 24 hours before each booked lesson.

Full payment is required before lessons unless agreed otherwise.
​
For other services:
-
Payments for masterclasses, vocal workout sessions, and open mic nights, payments will be taken via the website using Wix’s built-in payment system.

For singing retreats and showcases, payment will be made/taken via Stripe​.
​
EM:CAS does not store card details. All card payments are handled securely by Stripe and/or Wix.
​
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
​
For 1:1 lessons:
-
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please give as much notice as possible.
-
If notice is given more than 24 hours before the lesson start time, the lesson can be cancelled with no charge or rescheduled.

If notice is given within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time, the lesson fee will still be charged as usual.

If we are able to reschedule the lesson to take place within the next 7 days, there will be no additional charge for the rescheduled lesson.

If a lesson cannot be rescheduled within 7 days, the original payment will be retained.

No-shows/missed lessons will be charged in full, cannot be rescheduled, and are non-refundable.

For masterclasses, singing retreats, open mic nights, vocal workout sessions, and annual Showcases:

These are non-refundable once payment has been made/taken.
​
If EM:CAS needs to cancel a service, you will be offered a reschedule, be refunded, or you will not be charged.
​
6. Late arrival/early departure

If you arrive late, or leave early, the original lesson start and finish times and full session fees still apply.

7. Refunds

Refunds are only available when a service is cancelled by EM:CAS.
​
8. Children and young people
-
Lessons for under-18s require permission from a parent or guardian.
-
A parent or guardian is responsible for bookings, payments, and communication.
-
We expect respectful behaviour from students at all times.

9. Practice, progress, and results
-
Progress varies between individuals.
-
EM:CAS cannot guarantee specific results or outcomes.
-
Consistent practice outside of lessons/sessions is recommended for best progress.
​
10. Health and safety

You must inform your teacher of any relevant health conditions that could affect lessons (for example, vocal strain or physical injury).

EM:CAS provides guidance and instruction for educational purposes only.
-
While care is taken to offer appropriate advice, EM:CAS is not responsible for issues arising from how advice or exercises are carried out outside of lessons, or where guidance is not followed correctly.

11. Online lessons
For online lessons:

You are responsible for having a stable internet connection.

Technical issues on the client’s side will not be eligible for refunds.
​
12. Intellectual property

Teaching materials provided remain the intellectual property of EM:CAS unless stated otherwise.

Materials are for personal use only and must not be shared, copied, or resold.
​
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:

EM:CAS is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
-
EM:CAS's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant lesson or service.

Nothing in these terms limits EM:CAS's legal responsibility where the law does not allow it.

14. Data protection
EM:CAS handles personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains how and why your data is collected and used.

15. Changes to these terms
EM:CAS may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always apply to future bookings.
​
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
